AD+ / Interactive Streaming Commerce

PRODUCT ARCHITECTUREIN DEVELOPMENT

Turn cue points into viewer-controlled interaction.

AD+ connects stream timing, publisher policy and efficient 3D assets so a viewer can deliberately explore, respond or continue to commerce—without surrendering control of the player.

Controlled interaction chain

From content moment to measurable outcome.

The source concept combines SCTE-35 and glTF. AD+ turns that idea into a more precise implementation boundary: cues synchronize the opportunity, a decision service resolves policy and the player owns the visible interaction.

  1. 01AUTHOR

    Prepare content + metadata

Identify eligible moments and connect each one to a controlled experience manifest, product record or campaign policy.

  2. 02CUE

    Signal the moment

Use SCTE-35 timing and application metadata to synchronize a live or on-demand interaction opportunity with the stream.

  3. 03DECIDE

    Resolve the experience

Apply publisher policy, device capability, consent state and campaign rules before selecting an interactive payload.

  4. 04INTERACT

    Render in the player

Keep the publisher player in control while it presents an overlay, poll, offer or optimized glTF product model.

  5. 05LEARN

    Measure the outcome

Record only the events needed to understand impressions, interactions, handoffs and completed commerce actions.

Experience patterns

Interaction should add value—not interrupt by default.

AD+ defines several ways to engage while keeping the same rules: clear choice, device-appropriate input, graceful fallback and a measurable result.

EXPERIENCE / 01

Explore the product

A viewer deliberately opens a product layer, inspects an optimized 3D asset, rotates it and chooses whether to continue on the television or another device.

  • Opt-in hotspot
  • glTF / GLB asset
  • Remote, touch or pointer input
  • Send-to-device handoff
EXPERIENCE / 02

Engage without leaving

A publisher can present polls, choices, offers or companion information while preserving playback control, accessibility and a clear exit path.

  • Player-controlled overlay
  • Polls and selectors
  • Live and VOD timing
  • Non-disruptive close behavior
EXPERIENCE / 03

Continue on a second screen

QR or device handoff moves a longer interaction to a phone when that is safer or more practical than completing it on the primary screen.

  • CTV-to-mobile bridge
  • Passenger or venue use
  • Short-lived handoff token
  • Commerce system integration
PASSENGER EXPERIENCE / SAFETY

Vehicle engagement belongs to passengers—not drivers.

The early AD+ documents explore taxi and location-aware use cases. A responsible implementation limits interactive tasks to passenger displays, second screens or a safely parked context, with local law and operator policy defining the final acceptance criteria.

Operating model

One experience. Four accountable owners.

Interactive advertising crosses media, applications, campaign systems and commerce. Production readiness depends on explicit ownership at every boundary—not on hiding all work inside one SDK.

01SPICA media infrastructure

CDN++ media plane

Carries media, cues and authorized experience assets close to the viewer while maintaining the delivery policy for Live and VOD.

02Interactive experience control

AD+ decision service

Maps a cue and content context to an eligible campaign, product manifest and device-appropriate interaction.

03OTT / CTV / mobile application

Publisher player

Owns playback, focus, accessibility, consent and the visible interactive layer. It can always reject or close an experience.

04Publisher / advertiser systems

Commerce + measurement

Provides catalog, offer, checkout and attribution endpoints without placing sensitive account data inside the video stream.

Built on CDN++

The media path and the interaction path share timing—not responsibility.

CDN++ can carry protected media, cues, manifests and optimized experience assets. AD+ adds decisioning and interaction semantics. The publisher player remains the authority for what appears on screen.

Review the CDN++ integration

Trust by design

Controls are part of the product.

Engagement metrics are useful only when the experience remains understandable, safe and auditable for the viewer and publisher.

01

Viewer choice

Interaction begins only after a clear viewer action, and every experience has an immediate close path.

02

Player authority

The player controls pause, resume, volume, focus and overlay boundaries; an ad creative does not take over the stream.

03

Data minimization

Contextual selection is the baseline. Personalization, identity and cross-device handoff require explicit policy and consent.

04

Safety boundary

Vehicle use is limited to passengers or safely parked contexts. AD+ is not designed to place interactive tasks in front of a driver.

05

Accessible input

Remote, keyboard, touch, screen-reader and reduced-motion behavior belong in the integration acceptance criteria.

06

Measurable events

Impression, open, close, selection, handoff and conversion events use documented definitions and auditable retention rules.

Development status

A documented concept with explicit production gates.

The uploaded package contains product and architecture documents—not a production codebase. The site therefore presents AD+ as an integration program in development and names the work still required.

01DOCUMENTED

Product architecture

The attached SPICA material defines the SCTE-35 + glTF concept, interaction flow, commercial use cases and implementation stages.

02NEXT GATE

Reference player prototype

Validate cue timing, manifest resolution, glTF performance, input behavior, analytics semantics and failure handling on representative devices.

03INTEGRATION PROGRAM

Publisher production path

Connect consent, ad decisioning, catalog, checkout, measurement and CDN++ operations under the publisher's security and governance model.

Standards basis

Use standards for interoperability. Validate the implementation.

These references support the architecture boundary. They do not replace device testing, publisher policy, creative validation or a production security review.
